Mid-term project
I'm glad to have the chance to examine other online test and quiz builders as assessment tools. I just recently tried one at my school with some 7th graders. It did not work out as well as I had hoped, so I hope to discover what the weak link might be. It might be the actual program I used, it may be something inherent in any online testing program or it may be a flaw in the design of the lesson. I would like to find the answers soon, as I have high hopes to try something like this again in a few months. This should be interesting!

Susan, I am very interested to know more about what 'did not work' related to the test making software.
Personally I find very few teachers who make test well and expand the learning through this type of assessment - thus the reason that I've developed this course.

The whole online testing development and implementation was all new to me. You try to anticipate problems, but they show up anyway. The biggest problem I had was the students taking the test multiple times to get a better grade. Although many times the try, try again strategy may be a good idea, it was not in this case. In this case, it was not so critical to get the answers right, but to answer as many questions as possible. I'll just have to redesign the the directions so students understand more fully not to take a quiz more than once.
Peace,
Sinak
